One thing I base my real estate business on is that the more places you can get your listings posted on the higher chance of success there will be of securing a qualified buyer. And beyond that, if I can be the person the clients contact when they find the home online the better off it will be for all involved in that no one will know more about the listing than me.
Anyway, I’m very excited that Keller Williams has signed a partnership agreement of so
me sort with Trulia and Google Base. Just today I tried to find my listings on Trulia and found all of them. It’s extremely accurate and up to date. Furthermore, when the client clicks the listing for more information it takes them directly to my website! From there they can continue their search or bounce around my website to find out more about my unique services.
Anyway, I think it’s great. Give the links a try and see where they take you. And let me know your take on the issue.

Chris, interesting info. Its amazing that these secondary and tertiary sources (Trulia, Zillow etc) now seem to trump the MLS for Listing exposure. I don’t what’s happening to the Buyer’s Agents—more and more interest these days comes from sources like you refer to. I’m almost surprised when I get a showing request from another Agent and when I do it seems that their client found the property on Google. (ps…thaks for your comments on my Blog. As I mentioned in a previous post, my Haloscan format does not allow me to respond the way I like.)

Chris,
Thanks for your insightful comments. It’s great to see you embracing Internet marketing tools like Trulia that help promote your listings on a broader basis and point customers to your “online doorstep.” The intended result: more time to focus on your core business as a real estate and neighborhood expert for home buyer and seller clients. I have been impressed by the enthusiasm and initiative you and your KW colleagues have demonstrated in reaching out to consumers where they are searching on the Internet. Onwards!
