Why do I do things like this? I don’t know, civic pride? Heck, I’m not even a ‘Cats fan.
Actually I’m somewhat relieved the Chargers have embarrassed themselves by losing to the lowly Chiefs.
My Sundays are now free for a much wider variety of activities.
I’d trade Norv Turner for Herm Edwards in a heartbeat.
Let’s see…I think I’ll have lunch next Sunday at World Famous. It’s a restaurant on the strand in Pacific Beach (San Diego) with a west wall made up of nothing but skinny posts and giant picture windows. The view? Even though it’ll be October, it’ll still be surfers, ocean, and lots and lots of pretty ladies.
The food ain’t bad either. 🙂
As a former student at The University of Texas, about all I can say is, “bite me”. 🙂
Jeff – I’m no fan of Herm Edwards. And I think Norv is probably a great guy…but I lived in D.C. when he completely dismantled the Washington Redskins and left nothing but bones for Schottenheimer and Gibbs to try to piece back together.
And as for your restaurant, stay tuned for a post about Barbecuelooza.
Jay – Sorry. I’m not even a ‘Cats fan. It’s just that the South has been killing the North for so long that Saturday was very special to all us red-headed step children up here. 🙂
I have a feeling that this article might have been aimed at an underweight 5’3″ blonde whose name rhymes with Bonnie? Since I believe this, I just second Jay’s comment…
Oh, Lani. The ego on you girl. 🙂
